One of my favorite things to do is creating cards for card challenges. A card challenge is a “friendly” competition or game that “challenges” you to complete a creation using specific guidelines. One of my favorite challenge blogs for several years has been “Mojo Monday.” Each week, the authors provided a great card outline or sketch to really get your creative juices flowing. After you completed your card, you shared it on their blog for all to see and gain inspiration. Many times there was also a prize given by Verve Stamps.
When I had my other blogs, Saving Memories With Cindy and Papers Pads And Pictures I frequently participated in card challenges especially Mojo Monday. Now that I’ve restarted working on a blog, I was so looking forward to participating again. Last week, I entered my first card. This week, I head back to Mojo Monday for the next sketch only to read that Week 500 was the last challenge. I was so sad as I have come to rely on Mojo Monday for innovative sketches and inspiration.
Here is my card for the last challenge…
The card is completed using my beloved Close To My Heart paper products. The pattern paper is a current set called Prickly Pear and the stamp is a retired set that I thought worked perfectly with the flowers. I would love for you to check out the quality products that Close To My Heart offers at my CTMH website.
I wish I could count the number of times that I have used the sketches for a birthday card for a friend or one of my many classes. I bid Mojo Monday a fond farewell and godspeed. Thank You.
For Now, Happy Crafting!
